Strength and Stiffness of Spliced Nail-Laminated Posts Part 2: Testing and Design Procedures

Dave Bohnhoff is an Assistant Professor in the Agricultural Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He teaches courses in Agricultral Structures and Environment, Metal Building Systems, and Residential Construction. The majority of his research has involved computer modeling and laboratory testing of mechanically-laminated posts and mechanical fasteners in wood. He is very active in local, state and national ASAE activities, and currently chairs the committee which is reviewing the ASAE snow and wind load standard.
